A letter from Pastor Joe Loghry

Thank you for visiting our web site. I hope you find the sight helpful. I especially hope you will know that you are always welcome at Koinonia whether you are just visiting in our area, or are seeking a church home.

"Koinonia" is a New Testament Greek word, which is translated in our English Bibles as communion, fellowship, community, and partnership. We understand that Jesus came to make it possible for us to have fellowship with God, by offering himself as a sacrifice for our sins, which separate us from God. Through Him we now have fellowship with God and with each other as brothers and sisters in Christ. As God's children and subjects of His Kingdom, we seek to understand what God is doing and how He wants us to join Him in His work. We are His partners, and partners with each other in doing the work of Christ.

Personally, my joy is in helping people understand God's Word, the Bible, because I know that it is the living Word of God to us. I love to see how God's Word takes root in the lives of His people and changes them, and the church, which is Christ's Body on Earth. It is always exciting to see what God does in individual's lives and how He leads the church to do what only He can do through us.

Jesus said He came that we might have life and have it to the full. If you are seeking a full and meaningful life, you can find it in Christ Jesus and live it out in fellowship with His people. I believe this can become a reality in your life here at Koinonia.
